Ok... so I got my truck back from the trany shop and *poof* its doing the exact same thing it has done since being rebuilt. It Wont shift out of 2nd till 3000rpms, what would cause this? The guy at the shop mentioned something about the shift kit and Im just trying to wrap my head around this before I call them back and tell them it still dont work right!
Help guys!

Definitely does not sound right. Shift kit or not, under light throttle, it should shift out before 3k...

ya, by the feel of the truck alone it should be shifting at 1.5-2K. its just between 2-3. Is this a solenoid issue? or is something loose? I just want to understand more of what might be causing it so as not to get shafted by a smooth talking trany mech!
The trans I had rebuilt was the one that was ORIGINALLY in the truck. It was pretty much DOA when I bought the truck. when I had it rebuilt he said that the trans already had a shift kit and so he had to put a new one in it. he also said that this tranny has steel planataries, which are not cheap. my question I guess is this an issue of incompatibility or poor workmanship! IDK, Im a bit peeved cuz they just had my truck for two weeks and it does the exact same thing it did then, arg!
feel free, toss some wild ideas my way!
