Yup that article from Skippy1827 is a good piece of reading. Remember: exercise - not abuse! lol.
I regularly get 3/4 throttle & up to 4500 or so & 50- 65mph weekly & just a good haul on it, not overly hammered, just a good harder than normal run a few times. Once in a blue moon I may get into the gas steadily & then floor it for a good jump, but let off around 60mph or so & maintain speed or back to the limit.

When you are trying to rid of carbon build-up, either blow it out or use seafoam. By blow it out, I mean get on it under load. Maybe 75 or 80 mph, maybe even a tad bit faster. Now that helps get carbon build-up out. Safer than revving to redline too!
