Default Removing the cam ? on 99 Blazer

I finished--at least I thought--the 99 blaze 4.3 engine and it started. I'm my heart I knew the cam could be a problem as I didn't change it. Now I have to pull all the components to get to the cam. I know I must remove the Radiator. I would like to know if the cam can be pulled out without removing the A/C radiator and or grill; Is it too far a pull distance to not remove it? Also, where can I get instructions on the cam bearing removal and installation and tool to do this? Can the bearing fall inside the engine? Engine is on vehicle. Thank you in advance.
