Default removing idlee pulley and running with out it????/

I keep running in to problems with my idler pulley sqeaking and squealing after replacing it twice with dayco pulleys..... new belt and tensioner was bought and queited the problem for about two weeks... after about two weeks the squeal was back and the idler pulley had alot of side to side movement pulling back and forth on it.... so my question is can i just remove the idler pulley completely and just get a shorter belt to elminate the idler pulley problem all together...?? has any one else tried doing this with any success????

i dont think you will be able to find that size belt, why dont you go to a different parts store. imo... i wouldnt use dayco products to fix a wheel borrow, ive always had bad luck with them.
