Rusted trans filler tube and dipstick - easy to replace?

There are certain things that should be purchased OEM and this is one of them. I don't think you'll save any money by buying this at Autozone as they won't sell it. Also, expect to pay outrageous shipping if you buy this odd part online.

I think it was like $20 from the dealer. I have (or had) a 1996 S-10 Blazer LT. My brother uses it and has not had any problems with that since replacing the dipstick. I bought a replacement dipstick tube but it was too hard to remove.

Yes i do plan to buy these in GM brand only...Its just that in order to get the cheaper price i would have to buy online. I don't think the shipping would be high at all because they can ship in a padded envelope which is a lot cheaper than a box....so thats why i was asking your year of truck so i can use the same part numbers.... just curious, what did you do with your new GM dipstick tube since you did not end up using it? thanks
