Default Is it safe to cut metal cooler lines to add rubber linkage ?

So I want to install an external filter onto my transmission using the outflow coolant line, Problem is I cant undo the original line from the tranny as I cant get a wrench to it.

Was wondering if it would be ok just to cut the original metal line and attach rubber tubing instead with a couple of hose clamps.

Needs to hold around 100 psi max. Use your best judgement.

Needs to hold around 100 psi max. Use your best judgement and good hose. Many have done it to install trans coolers.

You need to Flare the tube ends or the rubber hose will slide off and you will lose all your fluid. just buy a trans cooler kit

Just make sure to use rubber hose rated for transmission fluid use and might add a couple of these.

Dont need an external cooler just a filter ordering this Derale Cooling Prod Remote Transmission Filter Base/Mount Only Uses Fram PH8A or | eBay It uses a standard oil filter

Figure if I cut the metal line I got now and slide the new hose 4-5 inches over whats left with a couple of hose clamps I should be fine
