ok never heard of seafoam...whats it even do..? and is it easy enough for even ME (who has no engine smarts but where fluids go) to do ..or is it better left to my mechanic?

Okay Seafoam cleans the carbons build up out of your motor, The more miles you have to more carbon you have. So you don't really want to Seafoam it if your car only have 30k on the clock. But if you have 150k It will help a lot.

Yes it is very easy to do (even if you only know where the fluids go).
I don't even know if a mechanic does something like this. It's easy enough to DIY anyway.

when you're a kiss as$ like me and act clueless he'll do any thing almost, already got approval to use his 1 garage bay and lift when time comes to do susp lift and BL and possibly add a leaf and use his tools...he's a cool old guy every one needs a mech. like him, willing to help in any way possible to keep you coming back.
