shift problems
i have an 86 s10 blazer 2.8L auto and lately it doesn't want to drop a gear when i punch it in OD, DR, or 2 is there something i can do to fix that or should i just drop a standard in it right away. i just did a tranny flush and new filter is there something i can do like a shift kit or something i might not be doing. help me out please.
pull your governor and make sure it isn't sticking.
governor is the round half ball thing ont he drivers side. That cap pops off, however if this is a 4x4 you have to remove the t-case shift linkage first. Once the cap is off the governor slides out. If the wings hang up its sticking.
