Question Single Injector removal?

I want to remove the injectors from my spider assembly for cleaning.
Any advice on how to do it?

It would be so great if we could clean inside.

They seem completely stuck. this is 1998 4x4 blazer s10

they sell them so i know they come out.

If your goal is to clean the inside of the injectors then your best best is an injection cylinder which pushes a concentrated injector cleaner through the injectors while the truck is running through the fuel schrader with the fuel pump off, no disassembly required:

I don't know if the parts stores rent them.

I have never energized the injectors out of the vehicle so I have no idea what they sound like under those circumstances. The two standard tests for individual injectors are a balance test with a pulse box where you pressurize the lines and then pulse the injector and monitor the pressure drop, looking for balance using a pulse box on each injector ground line. Some scanners can perform this function but I have never tried that approach.

The other test is the resistance of each injector coil.

I realize that the truck has to be put back together for all of this so maybe this is for future reference. I’ll let other members who may have used your 9v battery method comment.

Can you pressurize the line and look at the spray pattern into a jar?
