starter problems

Smile starter problems

why are my are my 1996 chevy blazer 4wd starter bolts constantly breaking off when i crank it? help!

Improper fitment to the engine? Warped flex plate? Too much torque when tightening the bolts? Weak bolts or improper bolt construction for the task? And many other reasons. Why don't you fill us in on what you had happen that led to the first breakage.

starter started going bad, got a new one bolted it in with the old bolts and within a week it was starting to grind again. Very softly at first then all of a sudden the bolts broke. Now on third starter. What's causing bolts to break?
