Default starting issues

i have a 92 blazer with the 4.3 throttle body engine. it was running just fine the all the sudden it wont start. the only way to get it started is to spray starter fluid or put gas straight into the carb/throttle body. then it will run just fine , can turn it off and then it will start right back up. But if i park it for a few hours or over night it will not start again. spark plugs and distribute and rotor are fine. is it the fuel pump ? My blazer needs your help . thanks for any advice
