Hi, first time using the site, hope I can get some help. I have a 96 Blazer that was sitting for a few months before I had someone change out the fuel tank and fuel pump. And now it is starting fine. Here is the issue. Once I start the vehicle and put it in gear it runs fine not great but fine. But when I park it then try to put it back in gear(forward or reverse) I got nothing. No play in the cable, I made sure it has fluid. Once it warms up I get nothing.

Sounds like a shift interlock problem

 

I am just learning how to work on my blazed for myself. Whet is or how can I check if is the interlock problem. I tech from PIRTEKUSA where I work said t o put some Lucas transmission in. I was also going to change the filter too.
