Stripped the bracket screw for the fuel return lines under plenum
Ok so I was replacing the spider injector and the two fuel return lines under the plenum on my 1994 4.3 Jimmy W vin.
Everything was going smooth, but as always there is 1 screw or nut that messes it all up.
The bracket that holds the two fuel return lines to the lower intake manifold is held in place by 1 torx screw. WHY A TORX SCREW!!!
Anyway, I managed to strip out the part of the screw where the torx bit would go.
Nothing I did worked.
So now I have to remove the entire lower intake manifold to even get to that screw and properly remove that screw.
Oh and guess what, the new fuel return line kit I bought is missing the replacement screw . FML.
I'll just replace it with a real bolt instead.
Any tips or things I should know before I move forward. I already removed all the lower intake bolts I think.
Do I need to remove the distrubutor to remove the lower intake manifold ? This project just got way deeper than I wanted it to. Lol.
Thanks in advance for any help my fellow Jimbos!

Yes you need to remove the distributor to get the lower intake off unfortunately.
Does your 94 have the "Vortec" labeled intake with the throttle body facing forward or does it have the later type with the throttle body facing directly upwards mounting on top of the upper intake? I know that on the later there's no reason to remove the retainer that holds the injector down, you can simply pop it off the retainer and leave it mounted to the lower intake. But I'm not sure how everything is held together on the older type if that's what yours is...
There's no room to get a screw extractor in there to it?

Yep vortec labeled one.
if I'm pulling the distributor out, I'm just going to replace it as well.
Also, besides replacing the intake manifold gasket now as well, and making sure I torq everything down to specs, anything else I will need to do special?
