Th400 kickdown
So I picked up a new squarebody recently from a guy who was making into an off-roading rig he did a pretty decent job but I’m looking to tie up some of the loose ends on it and make it a little more usable for normal use. It had the transmission and transfer case swapped so it now has a th400 trans and a 205 transfer case with dual sticks hooked to the 350 tbi motor. Everything is running great and the transmission is shifting super smooth but the kickdown isn’t hooked up. I’ve read that the th400 uses vacuum to control the kickdown and have seen that on rigs that came stock with it have a vacuum line up on the intake manifold for it to hook into. My biggest question is if there is a way to hook up the kickdown by tapping into an existing line or if there is a kit or something to make it work or if it’s a lost cause and I should just run it without it.
