Time to get over my head!
ok assuming that the 350 and 5.3L are about the same power, regardless of which one is better. From what i have read it seems much easier to fit a 350 into a blazer, and they are also less expensive and easier to find parts. Is this correct?
anyone know how easy they are to fit??
Edit: decided if im going to go with a 350 why not just go all the way to a 383 stroker with it....no reason not too give me your opinions pllllleeeasseee

Ok i have made up my mind on the engine i want to use. Im going to use a 5.7L Vortec engine and a stroker kit with it to bring it to 6.3L. Also i will be using a 4L60E tranny with it. Does anyone see any problems with this swap?
I stayed with the 4.3 and had it bored .60 over, stock crank and cam. I still have good mileage and lots of power without having to modify everything. I did replace the timing chain, oil pump, lifters. I had the machine shop install the crankshaft and bearings along with the new pistons w/ rings and install the heads. Total was somewhere for about $900.00. Def worth it to me knowing it was done right.

*just in case
The vortec 5.7L is essentially a 350 small block V8 with different heads on it....and i really dont have the money for a K5 or K10...is there anyway to avoid frame twist with that engine?
