Ok I have a 03 Chevy Blazer 4.3 4x4 4 door, I have the rattling of the timing chain. I have to questions:
1. I have checked all auto shops and stores locally and on the internet and can not find anyone that has one or that can get one, NAPA autoparts said that they had some but when I ordered it they then told me it was on back order and could be up to a year before they would get some more. Does anyone know where I can get one? I will pay anything for one as long as it gets rid of the noise.
2. Why is there only certain years of blazers that make this noise? If I read the post right most of this happens on the 02-03 4.3 engines, why is it these years and not the 04-05 years? Is there something different with the engine or did they start coming from the factory with the timing chain tensioner?
Please help if anyone has any info, this noise is small but it bugs the hell out of me.
Thanks to all

The TSB covers 1996-2003 4.3L engines. This mostlikely was something going out as the tooling for the tensioner components wore as it neared replacement time.
The replacement tensioner is GM PN 89017257. GMPartsDirect.com shows $115... YIKES!! Shouldn't be over $140 at your local dealership.
