Default Total trans fluid capacity of a 4L60-E?

Well... if my engine has to come out, then the trans fluid goes with it. So, then, for that.. In the event the removed fluid is not measured.. What is the total fluid capacity for 4L60-E, torque converter included ?

This on a 96 Blazer 4x4, if that matters.

Here is the service amount and the dry fill amount. These are just estimates as coolers and capacity vary slightly plus you will retain a minimum of 1-2 quarts in torque converter. Why would you lose fluid from engine swap?

Dry fill. 11 quarts
service fill. 5 quarts

Now, I may be new to this or it has been awhile but.. Does not the old fluid come out when the engine is separated from the trans?

No, don’t loose fluid in a engine swap.
