Default Tranny issues

As most of you know my jimmy gets wheeled pretty hard so when I started having this problem i wasnt really suprized.
So i pulled into a mud hole and turns out it was wayyyyyy deeper than i expected. i had water about half way up my drivers side door on the outside and about a foot of water on drivers side floor. im at an angle only the drivers side was wet. So i keep it running while a friend hooks the strap up and he pulls me out of the hole. I had a sorklel so the moter didnt suck any water. but now the tranny will drive normal in drive untill about 30mph than in drive its like neutral untill it gets down to 30, in "3" it drives normal threw first but wont sift out of second. in 2 or 1 its is still normal. I figure the transmission is junk but i was only in the watter for about 2 min and everything was fine before that, which makes me thinks its a electronic problem. any suggestions?

Probably a dumb question, but did you check the fluid? It's possible you got some water in your trans and that's causing the slippage?

There is watter in the fluid, but would that cause it not to shift into 3rd or 4th? I dont want to speng $60 on a fluid change and than have to replace the trans right after.

Also keep in mind the longer the water is in there the more damage it is doing.
