Default tranny problem

I have a 1995 blazer. i have been through 2 tranny's. I just recently rebuilt a tranny and put it in. i had the blazer on jack stands to fill the tranny and let the air bleed out. I started the truck and filled the tranny. i put the shifter in reverse and let it idle for a bit. after about 2 or 3 minutes the tires started to spin pretty good. I put the shifter in first and the tires started spinning slowly. After about ten minutes of the slow spin they stopped. I tried to rev the engine and the tires still wouldnt spin. Anyone have any idea if this tranny is good or bad? The fluid level read full. I havent tried to sit it on the ground to see if it would do anything. If anyone has any idea whats wrong or any ideas i would appreciate it

With all of the opportunities to mess up when doing a rebuild on an automatic transmission, there is no telling what could be wrong. It could be something as stupid as a cut seal to a problem with a solenoid on the valve body.

I gotta admit... you have a unique way to road test a tranny. Did you rebuild the tranny yourself? If you did, then only you know what kind of job was done. If not then you have to be sure to deal with a reputable rebuilder who really knows what they are doing.
