Default Tranny Slip or What?

I have a 95 blazer and just recently it has been giving this problem. When I go to floor it to pass someone it just revs out and doesnt pull at all. Is this my tranny slipping or could it be something such as my torque converter. I have also noticed that the blazer revs at about 2400 rpm when going 105 km/h. This seems a bit high to me. It seems to mostly do the slipping on the highway, dont really notice anything strange in the city. The tranny is also pretty new, maybe 5000 kms on it now. Please help.

So the slipping happens most when its at higher speeds correct? If the slipping is happening at higher speeds then it is you TCC. Do you notice any other gears slipping or just high speeds?

It seems to be just at high speeds. The transmission has always had slow dragging shifts but never seems like its slipping in the city. It also seems like after a long drive on the highway once I get back intot he city it shifts hard from 1st to 2nd. It jerks pretty good but that is only after long highway drives and not always either. It is hard to explain but yes the problem seems to be slipping or whatever it is while passing on the highway.

Yea if it's slipping in overdrive then that would be your TCC slipping but im not to sure about the hard shifting part after long drives. I'd have to look more into that one for ya.

Well my fluid might have been down a bit. I finally got to check it out in the daylight for once. I added some now and it brought it up to the hot line. Before I added it didnt look burnt or anything so I will see if this improves it or not. Havent had it on the highway yet but around the city it seems a bit smoother. This weekend will be the test, im hoping that was my issue. Thanks!
