Tranny Swap + Questions
All,
I recently picked up another 95 blazer for $600 b/c it is in a LOT better condition mine is in. The only real problem it has at the moment is the transmission is out. I picked it up tonight, so haven't had much time to compare. Here are my concerns:
Both rigs are 95 blazers. My current daily driver has manual shift 4wd. The new one has push button. Will there be any difference in the transfer case? Transmission? The new one is also OBD2, were the old is OBD1.5.
I am wanting to do the swap right, but have heard mixed review about swapping fluid in a tranny that has 150+k miles. I want to change the filter and seals at minimum, but what do you all think I should do?
The new blazer also has the leather package, premium audio, working a/c and heater... I might just have to change my account name when finished!
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Also:
Current blazer ~158K miles
New blazer ~138K miles (just in case it matters)
