so my boss's son had a 1989 Chevy 1500 and he blew a rod through the oil pan so hes just going to scrap it Would the 5 Speed transmission fit into my truck 91 blazer.. I believe his truck had a 305 not a 350 in it

 

Should not be a problem so long as both are the same drive train configuration (2wd or 4wd).

What are you doing with the 700R4 in your truck and what condition is it in? Also, what is your friend doing with the TBI setup from his truck (wiring and all)?

 

Was it a 4wd? Where are you located?!

Edit: Dang...NY....shipping the front diff would be alot...
