Default Trans cooler hose rubbing

I had a trans cooler installed in early 2010 and I found out that the hose from the cooler to the upper radiator line fitting was routed so that it would rub against plastic edges on the grille and bumper, leading to marks or even scratches in the hose. I put Gorilla tape on one of the edges that I can reach, but the other one I cannot reach and it is behind the grille. I know I need to protect the hose and I am going to see if I can get some plastic conduit to protect the hose from rubbing, but should I consider replacing the hose? There are no leaks to my knowledge. I just found out that it has been rubbing and there are marks on the hoses, some of them deep, but only so I can tell with my fingernail passing over it on the worst one. The hose itself looks healthy with no rot.
