Default Transfer case adapter

Hi, i recently bought a 96 bravada awd. Well my problem is that i bought it with a blown trans. I have a spare already for it but im concerned its got something seriously wrong. The adapter between trans and transfer case is broke and im told that it was broke when the trans went out a couple years ago also but had been replaced. What in the world could be causing this to happen?

See this a lot on Allison transmissions when a u joint is bad or a slip yoke is frozen. With the AWD t case you must use all four tires of the same diameter.

That could very well be your problem. Also the viscous coupling in the t case may be seizing up.

Do you have any binding in the front wheels when turning right or left?
