Default Transmission Died

Wednesday night the transmission in the blazer died. I have been with-out the truck since thursday. My dad let me use his car he tool a few days off from work and he is gonna let me use his car until the truck is back wednesday. I got quoted $1,800 for a rebuilt transmission. Does this sound too expensive?

$1,800 is high but not unreasonable if it includes diagnosis, installation and a warranty.
