Default Transmission help needed!

Hello all,
Longtops here ..from the hills of east tn.
Hot as blue blazes in Knoxville . Here is my question. I recently bought a 01 2wd blazer with the trans bad. My intentions were to junk yard a trans and drive it as a beater. well as it turns out all of the salvage yards round here are telling me its a " 1 year only trans" and no one has one. What is a one year only transmission ? any help or direction would be great!
Thanks.

If it is the 4.3, from 1999-early 2005 will work. The only really one year trans for the 4l60E would be the 1995. Good luck!

Thanks transman 304. I was starting to sweat there a little. Mayb I can find one now that I know what will work. So you are saying 99 to 05 will be a bolt in deal? Also I have one of those 1995 trans from a 2wd blazer if someone would be interested. Shifted perfect before my daughter totaled it.

Yes plug and play as long as same size engine. Don’t be tempted to swap bell housings around as input and stator shafts are diffrent lengths. Good luck. Keep us updated.
