Default Transmission ISSUES!!! (I think)

So this just started last night.

Driving around 55mph the tachometer flutters a little bit when cruising between 1500ish-1600ish. just really quick back and forth, and you can hear a little lurch (vmmm vmmm vmmm vmmm vmmm).

The truck accelerates very sluggishly from a stop, whether in forward or reverse. But once it gets going it is very tight and strong. Its almost like im driving around in 1st gear to start with (it takes more pedal than normal to get going) and then it gets to a certain speed 7ish mph and accelerates normally. But there is no skyrocketing rpms...

Im new to the mechanical aspect of cars....

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Sorry I forgot 2000 blazer 4.3 4x4.

Update:

Shifts good manually through all the gears...

My tranny fluid level is a little high? fluid doesn't smell burnt at all.

Has trouble down shifting aswell.

No SES lights, just have the Idiot brake light on now.... SMH

Could it be electrical??

Update 2: transmission fluid is pretty high and I hear a vacuum leak in the middle of the dash behind the heater controls...

Ugh I'm stressing about it.
