I need someone who knows the anatomy of a 84 s10 blazer pretty well.

I have a transmission leak, and the only point of reference i have for it is that, when it leaks, the fluid leaks on a exhaust pipe. I need to know if it's the front seal on the tranny or the rear main seal. Any advice on how to fix would be greatly appreciated also.

One thing i forgot to mention above is that its a 4wd. But i know that it is coming from the front of the transmission.

Most likely the front pump seal. I had this blow out on my old 85 S10 and it put a cloud of transmission fluid behind me as I was doing 70MPH down the highway.
