Transmission problem on 4LE60E, no reverse :-(
Hello all,
my friend has got a S10 pickup from 95, 4,3 V6, 4WD with a 4LE60E Transmission.
Yesterday he shifts to reverse but is not moving backwards. Feels like the gear is in but it is slipping.
We have some used trannys for sale in the near but one is from a 99 and another from a 95 2WD.
I read something about a change in the bell housing in the end of 96?!
Do these transmissions fit or ist it necessary to use one from before 96 and from a 4WD?
