Default 1997 blazer transmission is suealing and wont go in reverse what is wrong?and what c

1997 blazer the transmission is making a whining noise it goes into to drive but does not go into reverse what could be the problem?

I have all other gears except reverse

You have physically driven it and confirmed that all 4 forward gears engage? If so, then this pretty much sums it up :
Slow, slipping or no reverse: “lo-reverse” clutches are worn out, fluid leak in the reverse apply circuit, or broken sunshell. It is possible to remedy a fluid problem by removing the checkball from its cage in the case in the rear of the trans may help (must remove valvebody), or adding a high-viscosity additive such as Lucas Transmission additive or other seal restorer product.
