transmission noise and no reverse
Hi i have A 2001 CHEVY blazer.....I started it up like any regular morning and shifted it into reversing and it started whining noise and then wudnt go back.....I didn't think anything of it then I started driving and I notice it wud get up to 300 rpm then wudnt shift...until I took my foot off the gas....I don't know what's wrong and really need help because I love my truck....when I first start it and its in park u can kind of hear a whining noise come from the transmission.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like the infamous broken sun shell. If your fluid level (checked with the engine running and the truck on a flat level surface) checks out ok, you are likely in for a tear down if not an all out rebuild.
My 2000 Blazer won't move in reverse, I check the fluid and it was little to none in there. I put 2 quarts in and it still won't go in reverse...do I need more fluid or a new transmission. When I took it to the shop he stated that the codes were saying engine...but that I most likely needed a new transmission. I need some advice.
