But one of our members had transmission trouble the other day and uses seafoam trans tune.He said it work nicely with very good results. So as an additive thats something you can try also.

Default I noticed on my truck the fluid is dark

The trans has been shifting erraticaly, sometimes shifting good sometime very soft or not even noticeable.I drained a couple quarts out it yesterday and what I seen didnt look good.I put a bottle of the seafoam trans tune and seems to be shifting better so far.I need a complete flush from what i can tell.I also notice my trans gets realy hot on long road trips.Hopefully I can by sometime without hurting my trans till I can get to it.

That's interesting. How could you tell that your trans was overheating?

Default RE:overheating

2 ways most noticable when I was driving it wouldnt shift and engine had lots of power but took more to keep up to speed. It hs left me stranded or I limped to a gas station or friends house on the way home from road trips.

Then I would pull the dipstick and literaly had steam coming out of the tube.As for the seafoam trans tune it stop working so Im going to have drain my fluid and add some lucus.I have a road trip coming up I got to make sure its shifting better.

Oh I see. Is it possible that your tranny cooler lines are plugged, allowing your tranny to heat up?

I have a roadtrip coming up as well, I'm just hoping I fixed my engine overheat issue that I had the last time I made the trip. It's been great so far, but its a blazer, and blazers quite like to suprise you!

Tranny lines arent plugged I flushed out fluid through them.I drained a couple of quarts of old fluid out.I put in a bottle of lucus and fesh bottle of ATF.I can tell a very noticable difference almost right away.A 200 mile road trip coming up so its going to have to do.My trans is just tired the cylinoids and boost valve need to be replaced along with the filter and fluid. When i can afford to have it done I`ll be on it right away.I never have enough time for myself Im always either working on my truck or the Jimmy. Now my hood latch is messing up and it wont close all the way.If I cant get it fixed intime to leave Im just going to chain it down.
