Default Transmission or something else ?

I have a 1999 Blazer with the V6 in it, from a stop light i am getting a 2-3 second delay when I excelerate and then it kicks into gear and goes. It only does this when it gets fully warmed up, all other shifting is fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.

I noticed today if I hold the brake and bring the rpm's up around 1000 it takes off just fine. Also the guy I bought it from told me the transmission was just serviced as in fluid and filter. Please help I am stumped.

Sounds like the line pressure is dropping too far at idle and not properly holding 1st gear engaged.

I had the line pressure checked Friday and everything else in the transmission and they said everything checked out ok except my two motor mounts, so I replaced them and it still does it but not as bad. Can anybody please help me with this problem ? Thanks

Have you checked your transmission mount? I can't see the connection between the mounts and this type of behavior... What did the transmission shop say about the delay you are experiencing?

Sloppy u-joint? Maybe the rear end needs servicing? Just throwing out ideas.

The transmission shop thought it was from the motor mounts, but when I ask why does it not do it when it is not warmed up, he said if the mounts dont fix it to bring it back. Yes I will check the transmission mount. I am totally with you swartlkk, I dont see the connection either with the motor mounts. I am open to any ideas, thanks

Transmission mount is good. Any other ideas ?? Please.

i have the same year as you and i am experiencing this problem as well. when i get the funds, i will have the transmission fluid changed. if that doesnt help, i will follow this thread and see how you fixed yours.

someone told me that shops do not like to changed the transmission fluid in an older vehicle because it can damage the transmission? is this BS or is there some truth to it?
