Default transmission swap question

Basically all I want to know is will a 4l60e out of a 93 4dr awd bravada fit my 98 4dr 4x4 blazer. I know that they both have 4l60e transmissions and I assume that the t-cases r different since one is AWD and one is 4x4. If changes need to b made if so wat kind and is it minor or major b4 I start this project

transmissin will bolt up fine. there are differences/upgrades internally, that someone who knows more would have to identify. The transfer case adapter is different. it bolts on between transmission and transfer case. your current one bolts onto the transmission with 6 bolts. 93 adapter bolts on with 4 bolts. i do believe the bolt patterns for the transfer cases are the same 5 bolt pattern.

Although it will mount to the engine, They are different and will not interchange. The 98 is a removable bellhousing unit and will have different dust cover and supports. The 98 will also have a longer shift lever and a different nuetral safety switch setup, And uses a different TCC solenoid (98 is a PWM style convertor) and also 3-2 downshift solenoid setup which will damage the 1993 computer or vice-versa. I am pretty sure if you look into the big plug on the drivers side you will find it is a different color down inside and has a different pin layout. There are some other internal differences that wouldn't matter but other than the bellhousing pattern on the back of the engine Its just not gonna work because of the control system. You CAN however use the 98 case/pump/valve body and swap the internals directly until you get late enough of a unit when the input shaft changes( change only applies to trailblazer and v-8 though) Todd
