Mine is doing something similar, it jerks AFTER shifting into 4th, like a couple seconds after. I talked to my Boss, and my Auto Tech teacher, both said it could be something sticking, but my teacher said it could be a band, or the lock up convertor? while my boss said a sticking valve. But both said to do a tranny flush, so I will try that. Anybody else have some suggestions?

The other evening my wife and I changed the fluid in our blazer.I did need it badly.Had a lot of shavings on the magnet in the bottom of the pan and the fluid was dark red, almost brown.Did make some difference though we haven't been out in it yet...just the 4 wheel drive up and down the hill.Thought you might like to know, youll need a quarter inch 10 MM and 13 MM with an universal swivel and an extension. That way you dont have to drop the cross member. Also if your wife has small hands...start sweet talking her now.My wife saved me at least 30 minutes reinstalling those bolts along the cross member.Cant thank her enough.
I was reading on this forumn another problem that may be affecting mine. The ECT sensor.Apparently it will cause the engine and tranny to run cold allowing the transmission to slip.I dont have that code on mine but wouldnt be supprised at all considering all the other trouble.I honestly cant believe GM put vehichles out like this.
My Grandfater has a 2000 4x4 truck and at 23 thousand mile I had to rebuild the entire front end.About a thousand dollars and many hours later it was like new again. He also has trouble on steep hills stopping dead then starting.Have to floor it to get it to move. Most of the time you have to drop it into N then 4 LO.23 thousand miles!
I am ashamed of these newer vehichles.Love the older ones.Might even go back to Nissan.Hope this helps.

I visited a service station for transmissions. I got the address from a local parts dealer.

They checked the computer, no errors and drove my car for a bit.

It shifts like a knife through butter. So everything is fine. I guess I am just over sensitive!
