Hi there fellows,
I have a S10 blazer 1997, I have recently changed the fuel pump since it was toast and it hasnt been 3 months since then and im having issues again. The truck sometimes take a lot of cranking to turn on and yesterday it turned on with a high rpm then when it settled down to idle it turned off. Any idea why this can happen ?

 

Did you do the fuel filter at the same time? Hows the fuel pressure?

Edit: and what brand pump did you use?

 

It's a chinese fuel pump that's the only one i could find in my country. And no i havent done the fuel filter with it and idk when it was last changed. Could it be from the filter ?

 

People tend to do the filter as it could be clogged... that could cause inaccurate gas levels going to the engine. The Chinese pump could be gone too...

I bought one in Dec, and had to switch it in January luckily it was under warranty, so was able to return and pay the different towards the acdelco
