Unhappy urgent need help

Hey guys,

For reminding, it is for a chevy blazer S10 4.3 4WD 1992 and I'm from France.
I received yesterday my rebuilt gearbox from florida and I maybe made a stupid thing...
When we work on manual gearbox we have the stupid reflex to take the shaft and turn them to see if all is free inside... I do the same with the rear shaft of the gearbox. (700R4 gearbox) Turned it from left to right... and I heared a "clank" like if something was locked inside... and the shaft don't turn anymore from left to right but turn free from right to left.
Do I do something that hurts the gearbox??
What to do now?
THanks you very much for your help.
Christophe

Is the gear shift in park? If so, you just hit against the park dog.
