Default V8 Conversion

I know this question has been covered alot of times but I have a more specific question. have a '97 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3L and I want to do a v8 conversion. My dad has a '96 Chevy Van with approx. 100K miles and he will sell it to me for $1000. I was thinking of just using the engine out of that. If I'm not mistaken that would have a 350 in it correct? And what else would I have to get done to make this work? Thanks in advance.

depends on the van. is it a fullsize? if its a astro van its got the 4.3 (same ish u have)

if its the 5.7...

use the engine,wiring,computer...should have no issues as 96-97 is a pair.

id say get van,do the swap. get it running good. scrap van for 3-400 and enjoy the v8 swap.
