did you search this topic? It's been discussed. I believe a direct bolt in car engine for 95 would be the LT1 out of a camaro/firebird if you're looking for a car engine. The intake design of a truck engine will require either a 2" body lift or a cowl-induction hood for the extra room needed for the intake.

There's another reason you need an engine from this period, something about OBD ports. I think your 95 is an OBD 1, and anything newer than that really is OBD 2, which will cause some headaches. Hence going with the LT1 out of a ~95 Camaro would be your best bet.

Correct me if I'm wrong folks.

i think any 350 will fit from the same year range. Not sure on the OBD stuff. I guess your first step would be to find out if yours is OBD 1, 1.5 or 2
