Exclamation Weak Start, 95 Blazer

My truck has a new starter but when I try to start it it cranks and cranks and then starts. When its colder out or the truck has been run within say 5-10 mins it fires right up.... any ideas on what causes this?

Test your fuel pressure and CLEAN YOUR EGR VALVE. Could be the exact same cause for the idle quality problems you are experiencing in your other thread --> Horrible idle!?...

Did it start doing this with the new starter? When it cranks, does it sound like the starter is bareley getting any juice? If so, you may need a new battery with a higher cold cranking amperage.

The fuel injection system, they call it the spider i guess lol, i guess some of the poppets crack which is leaking fuel into my engine causing all my problems, bad plugs, running rich, bad idle

I really dont think there is anything you can do about it, its just something that happens with age, plastic cracks over time
