On the way home from work yesterday, I suddenly realized that my gas pedal was sticking. This happens every 8 - 10 months and is cured with me cleaning the TBI with choke cleaner. This morning I went out the truck, took the breather off, and yep I had to clean the TBI. I started the engine (4.3) with the breather off. It ran for all of 2 seconds and stalled. Tried it again with pressure on pedal, no difference. Put the breather back on the TBI, and started engine. Ran OK, took breather off and it stalled again. I did notice a sound like a vacuum that I don't hear when the breather it on. Last time I cleaned the TBI, I was able to start with breather off and no problem. I'm stumped.
