Default weird sound

so im hoping someone can help me with my problem, when im driving...usually from a dead stop...whenthe enginehits 2000-2500 RPM it sounds like someone slirping through a straw, the engine sounds like its not getting enough coolant or something i can definatly hear the problem. its kind of hard to explain i'll add to this when i can finally think of how to describe it, the best i can do is it sounds like someone slirping through a straw....help?

thanks guys & gals

Might be a vacuum line leak or a heater core plugging up.

i figured out what the sound was...it was my coolant slowly draining...i found this out because my engine hit 260ºF today..yeah thats right i had a small tear in my vaccume hose near my skid plate...which is covered in coolant... the other day my overflow was at a good level today it was bone dry along with my radiator..i feel like an idiot now.
