OK. I have looked through the various trans posts and haven't found any answers that seem to apply. If I start out normally in OD or D it will sometimes shift perfectly, and other times start out like in high gear. Even if the shiftign is normal to start, it will sart out like high gear later. If I start in 2nd then into D it shifts fine. Today I noticed another weirdness...it seems to feel almost like a slip in OD...but works fine around 3000 rpm. I wish I still had my 74 Blazer! If I leave the vehicle in D it runs just fine, other than needing to start out in 2. I am hoping that this isn't the start of another round of Blazer wallet emptying. I would appreciate hearing if anyone else has had to deal with this.
