After changing the governor and servicing the 700r4 transmission in my truck I thought it was fixed, it was shifting smoothly for about 100 miles of in town driving conditions. Well the transmission is now shifting at very high RPM's, 4000 or so. I guess I still have some sticky valves? I'm gonna go look at the TV cable, etc. Any one experience this? If so what did you find to be the problem? Thanks.

 

Well it turns out the tranny just had sticky valves. After driving the truck around for a bit it began to shift better. Earl, my transmission guy, pulled the pan and valve body and drilled out some holes in the sheet between the valve body and transmission (I'm not sure what thats called) and cleaned the valves, and replaced more fluid. It now shifts like a dream. Earl really knows whats up. Anyone in the north Florida area who needs a good transmission guy should talk to this dude.
