I got my Jimmy about 6 months ago after my grandparents had it pretty much sitting for two or three years. So far this is what i've done:

Oil change
coolant flush
pcv valve
cleaned maf
new battery
and tomorrow I'll be cleaning the egr.

I've driven approx. 1200 miles on it since I got it.

Are there any other small things like that that I can do to make it run at peak performance? I don't mean adding things like a CAI, but cleaning things up a bit. I'm pretty much just looking for something productive to do tomorrow. Thanks.

 

I would replace the air filter if it's dirty of course. You might want to change the diff/gear oil if it hasn't been done in a long time. Maybe transmission fluid and filter change?? But that's pretty much it without upgrading anything or replacing things like spark plugs, distributor cap, etc... that I can think of right now.

 

Oops. I forgot...Just took care of the transmission stuff when the coolant line got a hole in it. I'll put dizzy cap, plugs and wires on the list as well as diff/gear oil. Thanks for the ideas.
