Alright, here's the deal. I bought my little s10 balzer about a year ago for $200. About 6 months after I bought it the flywheel broke. Haha, I guess the 4.3 was too much for it to handle. Anyhow it sat in storage for a while, as I was working on my fullsize and didn't have space for two broken trucks. A few weeks ago, I pulled it out of storage, replace the flywheel, noticed that the morons who had it before me only put two freakin bolts back in to bolt the tranny to the motor, but I got it running and all was going well. Yesterday, I stopped for lunch. I shut the truck off for like 10 minutes, and when I tried to start it the battery was dead. Not a problem, I got it jumped and started driving back to my jobsite. On the way back to the jobsite the tranny quit shifting, it would grab in first and second and that was it, and reverse worked too. It got me back to work though. After work I hopped in and it started just fine, but I had no reverse. the guy in front of me moved his truck, and I went forward, but not well. When the RPMs were high enough, it would grab in first and that was all, and it would only grab at certain rpms. Too high or too low and there was nothing. So I am thinking I blew my tranny. but here is what's throwing me off, when it did grab in first it grabbed hard. It actually peeled out a few times. Does this sound like a blown tranny, maybe a bad torque converter, or could it be some kind of electronic doodad from the battery problem earlier in the day. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated greatly, this is my family car, and it's hard to hual the family without it.

what yr??
If older than 95 I say its a bad torque converter, if after 95 with the 4l60e than I say its your comp or tranny due to the fact that its all computer controled.

Do you think it's possible that the front pump in the tranny might have gotten screwed up when the flywheel sheared off?

Did you replace the missing bolts in the tranny and get it all lined up right?
If the bolts are missing and it is not aligned properly then everything probably isn't grabbing right.
