what's this hose for?
Does anyone know what this hose is for, where it was attached? I found it hanging out of the passenger side fender well opening on my 1998 Blazer, just at the inside front of the tire. It looks like a drain hose of some kind, and it looks like it came from somewhere directly underneath the battery. It has about a 1 inch 90 degree turn and is around 6 inches or so long. Thanks for any replies.

Seems like it's the drain hose for you radiator. Look underneath your radiator, on the passenger side near the battery, there should be a drain where the hose will plug into.

That is the over flow drain line, for like if it boils. It helps keep the overflow tank from expanding and then blowing. Kind of does like a pressure release valve on an air tank or a water heater.
