i need a tranny for my 95 blazer 4x4 auto...i found a 4l60e that came out of a 96 trans am....coult the tailshaft be removed from this trns and my transfer case adapter be bolted to it then transfer case etc and make it work without a huge hassal?

pry not. you have to change tail shaft housing and shaft. Advanced Adapters makes kits for this and they arent cheap. look in a junkyard, pry gonna have to give $600-$1000 for a good used one. rebuild costs anywhere from $800 to $3200 depending on what needs done and warranty that you get

you would pretty much need the transmission rebuilt to swap the tailshaft
