Default 1974 Horn System

Greetings All,

I've bought a 1974 Blazer that the previous owner had started a restoration. I've got the truck back together with the exception of the horn. They must have removed the horns and the wiring. Does anybody know where the relay should be? Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Jim

I don't think that the 74's had a relay.
Pre 72's had the relay on the core support driver side, 74's should just be wired into the fuse block.

Thanks, does that mean they came right off the fuse block straight to the horn?

I'm about 90% sure, yes. There may be a relay under the dash now that I think about it.

ive never owned anything in the 70s but the 80s k5 had a little circuit board thing under the dash kinda by your gas pedal that had the horn relay on it. pretty sure the door buzzer is attached to that too. so if your door or key in ignition buzzer works follow the sound

Default Found It!

Thanks for all your help. I found the relay, it is tucked away on top of the fuse block. I'll post a picture shortly.
