1987 blazer won't start
I have been having trouble with my 87 k5 blazer. I was not getting any fuel to my injectors and not hearing the fuel pump run. I have checked my fuel relay, I have power to the orange. I put power to the white wire and can hear the fuel pump whine. I know the fuel pump works, the truck will still not start. I poured some fuel under the injectors the the truck will run for a few seconds. I even had help with the truck and had some one spray fuel cleaner into the engine so i could move it to a better spot to work on the truck. I have read through several forums to find that the control module could the problem now. Is this true? Is there a way to trouble shot the module? Where is the module?
if it runs when you dump fuel its nothing ignition related.
but uh it sounds like pumps weak. these things are bad about it. all you can do since there isnt a test port at the engine, rent a test gauge at autozone etc (its like 100 bucks but its 100% refundable) and it has a fitting to plumb into the fuel filter (before).
Post results of the tests when you turn key on.
edit : thats if this is the tbi style (2 injectors in throttle body) if its carb,well...you need 5-6 psi.
